Please make sure your brain is on sleep mode when you watch it because this movie:
1. Has no logic. A team goes to fight but only two leads keep on fighting in the most wierd bizzare way by locking popping.
2. Has no thrill - Most of the twists I'm sure you'll figure out before they actually happen.
3. Has different locations, shots, good looking men & women, good clothes, high end bikes & cars, planes which they destroy in a blink.
4. Has unnecessary bike chasing, car chasing, gun fights, airplane chasing, hand fights & plastic surgery. WTF!
5. Gives no idea where Hrithik gets all above stuff when he's a traitor to the nation.
6. Long stares, slow motions, not required dance moves, wierd ways of shooting with both legs in air, unnecessary swag.
7. Has wierd emotions which missed our heads just like the bullet missed Hrithik in one of the fight scenes. (There are too many fight scenes).P.S.: When the missle was already armed towards the ship, why on earth did Hrithik had to go & talk to the two guys whom he ultimately killed in stretched & painful ways?
To say that War has a wafer-thin plot is an understatement. War has a lot of visual appeal but the all style and no substance approach makes this 2 hours 36 minutes film a real drag. DISAPPOINTING!It isn't completely unwatchable, but it certainly tests your patience. How many times have you ordered a dish that looks terrific photographed in a menu but disappoints when it shows up on the table? War is that kind of meal and a golden opportunity lost. It has two handsome leads, some eye-popping stunt scenes (Paul Jennings, Franz Spilhaus, Oh Sea Young & Parvez Shaikh) and a slew of beautiful locales. It would take an especially awful script & an incompetent director to deliver a mess out of those ingredients. Everything here is laid out crystal clear at the lowest common denominator. Sure enough, the film packs enough twists & turns. But those particular twists are so ludicrous that it is hard to imagine someone could still be thinking in such formulaic ways. Abbas Tyrewala's dialogues are so clunky, they make you cringe. Director Siddharth Anand, the man who gave us such excruciating films as Tara Rum Pum, Anjaana Anjaani & Bang Bang, applies the same pedestrian sensibilities to what could've been a slick enjoyable romp.Siddharth Anand & Aditya Chopra's story rests on the assumption of suspension of belief. The film is weighed down by a teary familial back-story and a major twist that anyone who's watched even three masala potboilers can predict from a mile away. It's a pity to see a production house of the stature of YRF go down the same path again and again. And yet if there's one reason to watch War, it's Hrithik Roshan. He's charming, charismatic & appears to be having a good time. Here's a movie star who actually looks like he could pull off those action scenes for real. Vaani Kapoor is wasted. Soni Razdan is Perfect. Ashutosh Rana is dependable as always. Arif Zakaria, Swaroopa Ghosh (Sherna Patel), Dipannita Sharma, Anupria Goenka are just fine in their respective roles. Tiger Shroff can dance effortlessly, fight in style and charm the audiences. But what one really needs to applaud is the way he carries the film. His role in War seems to be a hundred notches ahead of what he did in his previous movies. For the most part War is all action, no talk. Its pace remains inconsistent. At times, it runs very slow but catches up with the action sequences that follow. Overall, the star cast will ensure that the movie sails through comfortably at the box-office. Skip it!
Have to admit this that War is one of the finest Indian action films of the year! The film is not for a second slow or boring, and despite the long duration never feels dragged. Plus, it's jam-packed with nonstop action and some really surprising twists that make it a spellbinding action thriller. It was a pleasure indeed to see India's two top action stars fight, chase and even shake a leg with each other. Both Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff have impressed big time with their action and acting both.Just outstanding. Now this is what a PERFECT action movie is. Also, it's great to see that the film actually had a fight where only the sounds of fighting could be heard and not any music.
This film is a must watch for action fans all over the world. Book your tickets now for an action-packed festival!
Mindblowing performances and top-notch action, this is by far one of the best in Indian cinema and will set higher standards. Coupled with an intelligent script, great background score and beautiful locations, and some perfectly timed humour, this movie is a delight to watch. The storyline is not boring even for a second and will keep you on the edge of your seats. Hrithik owns the movie but the others performed so well. Tiger has got his presence felt alongside Hrithik, which is commendable!Being a forever Hrithik fan, what else could I ask for! I'm gonna watch it again in the theatre and you all should not give it a miss. Go watch!
The base plot of the movie is alright and had potential but the execution.Every second they could you had a good long stare between 2 or at one point 3 actors with music blasting in the background for no reason. That time would've been better spent developing another character which played a big role in the movies plot. The action sequences were nothing but unnecessary acrobatics. In fact the whole movie went for eye candy over substance. The twist at the end negates a lot of the movie and makes previously gone scenes senseless. What little feel the movie had was destroyed by this.
Watched the film last night in a screening. The film based on its promos and songs was touted to be one of the biggest Bollywood films till date. However, on recent past, most of Bollywood biggies have flattered to deceive, BUT, NOT TODAY. War is a a rare big budget action that gets almost everything right. The best thing about the film is its Casting. Htithik and Tiger as the man facing off against each other are a treat to watch here. Hrithik pulls of a Dhoom with his persona and swagger here while tiger surprises with his sincerity and improveed acting apart from his stunts. Action stunts, which just keep coming, are simply phenomenal and never seen before in Bollywood. Screenplay is pacy and
full of intelligent twists one after another with a jaw dropping climax. Hrithik's charm and svmcreen presence is magnetic with Tiger complementing him well with his career best performance. The locations are eye candy and BGM is absolutely electric.
On the whole, War does what it promised- It entertains well. A big action spectacle that definitely deserves a watch on Big screen.
After a long time I have seen a hindi film that has well directed action sequence which maintained law of physics in most of the part except two or three minutes. The film has lots of lots twist which you will love. The best part is that you will not feel bore during the movie. It is a action movie and it maintained it status too. Both Tiger and Hrithik share good bond in the movie which I love the most. It one word it is a complete page that you should watch.
The movie is one of the best action movie of indian cinema. Wow what a great acting by hrithik roshan as well as tiger. Vaani have very limited role but she is also looking very hot in the movie. Must watch this movie.
Beware of fake reviews.
IMDb is flooded with fanboys of lousy actors who cannot respect opinions.A lousy attempt to be b an ultra cool action flick with boring script, tedious acting, unnecessary bright color n been there done that action sequences.
The lead characters r introduced in pathetic slo mo style, the hand to hand combat is awful n the tediously shot chase sequences is ridiculous, the parkour scene is badly choreographed n a big lol.
All this makes this a wtf film.In today's time when u have so many options: Amzon prime, Netflix n most Hollywood films dubbed in Hindi, Telugu n Tamil, I think even the audiences from the rural side cannot be taken for granted.Better watch Family Man or Bard of Blood or Joker or Hobbs n Shaw.
Hrithik Roshan ,just stole the show. His entry is worth the whole ticket price.Dance battle was great
Liked tiger's action sequences
Kudos to Siddharth Anand for handling such high budget movie and making it one of the best action movie in Bollywood
It is an all out action entertainer, that will be liked by everyone.
I don't know what this guy Hrithik is doing here in Bollywood! He deserves to be in big budget Hollywood Movies. He has proved this in movies like Dhoom 2 , Krrish 3 and now in WAR. Hrithik is supposed to fly with the eagles (Hollywood) instead of hanging out with the crows (Bollywood). Coming back to the movie WAR, it never disappoints you. It's a full on MASS ENTERTAINER with jaw dropping actions and amazing dance. Don't MISS out on this rare big budget extravaganza.
